Hand embroidered onto wool felt using beautiful Appleton’s crewel wool, this embroidery piece will look lovely on the wall, either on its own or as part of a gallery wall.
Crewel embroidery is an embroidery form dating back to Tudor times. Here it has been given a modern feel using bold flower design in deep crimson. The embroidery is framed in a metal ring, which has been crocheted over using mercerised cotton, giving it a smooth sheen.
Stitches used include French Knots, Woven Spider’s Web, Satin Stitch.
The wall decoration is 10cm / 4” wide. It hangs from a loop 4cm / 1.5” long.
The embroidery is posted wrapped in tissue and popped in a card envelope.
