Needle and Measure necklace.
Handmade from sterling silver in my Studio in York, and fully hallmarked in Sheffield, Yorkshire.
This necklace merges my Measured range with one of my needles. The perfect match I thought. Simple, stylish and contemporary visually yet with a sense of heritage and nostalgia.
My Measured range is inspired by the seamstress’s tape measure and observing how it hung on my studio mannequin twisting in its natural way, my aim was for my Measured pieces to reflect this form. I hand-engrave the markings, hand-punch the letters, and twist the metal to give a lovely fluidity.
The needle is originally hand forged in sterling silver I had it cast into sterling silver. You can read a little more about my design and making process for the needle in this listing here:

I love the reflective twist of the Measure against the satinised needle.
This necklace is hung on a 22” sterling silver curb chain. The chain has a thread type form and a lovely weight which I think compliments the necklace wonderfully.
Packaged in one of my branded gift boxes, this special necklace comes with all the trimmings.
