My Folksy shop has been dozing through the Summer Craft Fair season, but now I'm back in the Workshop, making lovely new things and taking photos.

Harris Tweed is a very special fabric; in order to be certified genuine and granted the “Harris Tweed Orb symbol” it has to be
"Handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides."
In this ever-changing mass-produced world it is a joy to find something so traditional, truly handmade and sustainable.

I have made this cute coin purse from a lovely pink and cream herringbone design of the world renowned Harris tweed fabric for the outside, and a toning cotton fabric for the lining. It closes with a kiss clasp top to keep your change safe.
A sweet little purse for your change, great to fit into a pocket or bag; it measures 6cm wide at the mouth, 10cm wide at the bottom, and 10cm tall.
This useful little purse will be wrapped in tissue and tied up with a ribbon, ready for giving or as a treat for yourself. To get your lovely purchase to you quickly and safely I use Royal Mail tracked / signed for services. The shipping price shown is for the first item; save on postage for two or more items bought from my shop at the same time.
