Full description
I've used a gorgeous batik fabric for this bag in a glorious shade of orange, patterned with flowers and scrolls in teal, gold, green and purple. Picking up the teal I've used a cotton marble print in teal green for the contrast, handles and lining, then created a hand embroidered flower and bead tassels to finish it off in style.
Please note that teal is a tricky colour to photograph - both my cameras give it a slightly bluish tone when it's actually a proper deep teal green - the lining photo is the most accurate.
Inside, the bag has a zipped pocket, two useful slip pockets and a handy key hook. It fastens with a magnetic clasp. The handles are mid length (approximately 62 cm) so , when carried on the shoulder the bag sits at about elbow level.
The bag is very lightweight, with fusible fleece between the outer and lining for structure and stability, and the base is darted to give shape and more internal room.
Dimensions (approximate): 35 cm wide (at base), 26 cm high (not including handles), 8 cm deep (at base).
