Full description

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

A Crescent Moon and a sparkling Star or moonbeam

The moon is the classic form of a man in the moon and I've made him from some lovely glass in shades of blue.

His eye is a faceted crystal with a sparkle.

I've framed the outside of the crescent in twisted wire to give a pretty outline.

Dangling from the top of the moon by a little chain is an enormous lead crystal drop, a moonbeam, which twinkles and sparkles as it catches the light.

This suncatcher is 5 inches in diameter and hangs from a chain which is securely attached to the top of the moon. .

It looks absolutely beautiful hanging in the window where it shines and catches the light .

I think it will make a lovely decoration for a child's room and could hang from the ceiling rather than in a window.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.

The 5th photo is of the pastel version I made previously so you can see it in a different colour.
