Hello and welcome to DArTworld, my world of colour, reality and imagination in cards and prints. The subjects vary from the ancient and classical world right up to date but the thing that they have in common is the use of vibrant colour and the visual twist that I like to give my images. I hope you will love them.

I have always loved the statue of Antinous and my photograph lends itself to various effects. I have used this version for Zephyrus which is also available in one of my postcard sets - Blue Mood.

Full description
This high quality giclee print is my interpretation of Zephyrus, the Greek god of the west wind. I used my original photograph of an ancient Greek statue, Antinous, in the Delphi Archaeological Museum, Greece.
I have applied several digital processes to create aspects of the god's character. Zephyrus is the messenger of spring, fructifying and the gentlest of winds.
This giclee print has been professionally printed on archival quality cotton rag paper. It shows the god's name and my own DArT 'signature' is printed in the bottom right corner. The print has a narrow white border. It has been surrounded with a mount in ice white and framed behind glass with black wood. Fittings are on the back of the frame ready for you to hang.
The image is 20cm (8 inches) square and the finished frame size is 35cm (13 3/4 inches) square.
This would make an ideal gift for anyone interested in ancient Greece, classical history or mythology. This is one of four wind gods and you can see all of them in one of the pictures above as well as in their separate listings.
