I was originally given a large quantity of (very dirty!) glass which came out of the picture frames from a house clearance. Since then, people have been passing on any unwanted or broken picture frame glass to me rather than taking it to the tip, so I have quite a stash built up. This thinner glass is perfect for making these decorations.
My studio and kilns are powered by electricity from sustainable/renewable sources.

This 8 point recycled glass star will sparkle anywhere where it can catch the light all year round - and of course it makes a great Christmas decoration too - dual purpose!
A great addition to a collection of special Christmas decorations, or to hang in the window all year round.
Each star comes with a white cotton thread, ready to hang. Due to the reclaimed nature of the glass the colour may vary slightly, some stars being colourless, and some showing the distinctive green tint of float glass on the edges.
I make my recycled glass decorations from strips of glass reclaimed from old picture frames, cleaned up and fused together in my kiln in my home studio on the Wirral peninsula, NW England.
DIMENSIONS:
The fused glass stars are around 12cm (just under 5”) across; as each one is individually handmade, shape and dimension may vary slightly.
Your star will be carefully packed in plastic-free recyclable packaging to keep it safe, and your order will be shipped in a sturdy box. If you order more than one star and would like them wrapped individually (perhaps you are giving them as gifts?) then do let me know - otherwise I will wrap them in a little stack to save on packaging.
