Button necklace handmade with sterling silver and a gorgeous vintage mother of pearl button.
This necklace is so simple and so lovely. It is made with the vintage buttons shown here in the image along with my Aunties Dorcas pin tin and an old embroidery book gifted by a friend from her Nanna (one shilling!). The joy of old haberdashery! And this necklace captures a certain nostalgia, evoking such memories, as well as looking really smart and contemporary.
A perfect gift for a sewer, dressmaker and crafter.
The buttons are sourced from a Brocante in France and at 12mm diameter are a great size, perfect hung on a 16" sterling silver chain. So lovely. I love mother of pearl encased in silver.
It comes packaged in one of my branded gift boxes with all the trimmings.
