I love birds in general and there's something about the cunning little Wren you can't not like. An Irish Christmas tradition on St Stephen's Day/Boxing Day is the Hunting of the Wren. Straw boys or Mummers would seek out a Wren in hedgerows (nowadays a fake one is placed on a stick) and sing for their tuppence.
I called this print 'King of Birds' because in another tale, the cunning little bird out smarted an Eagle by hitching a ride on it's back in the battle of highest flying birds, and when the Eagle could not go any higher, the Wren left the Eagle's back and soar to be the highest bird in the sky and given the title 'King of Birds'

This handmade bunting has been hand printed with my 'King of Birds' Wren stamp I hand carved. It has 7 flags in total.
