Full description
I made this pendant by building up layers of clear enamel over strips of silver foil embedded in the first layer, adding a layer of transparent ruby enamel to impart its colour to the white of the foil then adding several pieces of shot, half spheres of enamel. Then, as I fired the piece for the last time, I drew through the surface with a steel point to generate the unique, random pattern on it by pulling the shot into scrolled shapes.
The pendant measures 25mm in diameter. It is domed. It is mounted on a 45cm, silver plate, curb chain that fastens with a simple bolt ring.
