These little planters are based on sheds and huts that you can find crumbling away in allotments and gardens everywhere. I love these strange little places, cobbled together over the years, repainted and looked after until they are unrepairable, abandoned and left to the elements. This is when they take on the final part of their lives as mysterious shacks with plants growing from them and a microcosm of insect and animal life.

Full description

Each one of my pieces is hand built by myself from an Etruscan red clay using slab building. I love the feel and texture that this clay gives to the work and when it is fired it brings out the rich deep almost purple tones. I have used a wood like grain effect printed into the clay and used a bright red glaze on the interior.

This pot is ideal for a small plant, succulent or cactus and will fit a 5cm/2inch pot. They could be used as a pen holder, trinket pot or simply as a small reminder of that perfect shed you once saw over a garden hedge that to this day you still covet(I have many).

Size 12.5cm/4.8inch x 9.3cm/3.6inch x 9.3cm/3.6inch
