Full description

This is no.46 of 100 variable etchings from a yearlong project. The inspiration was an ammonite fossil that I found on the Jurassic coast in Dorset. The form perfectly preserved in every way. The etching was made by drawing with an etching needle onto a pre-treated zinc plate which has then been bathed in acid and once inked up run under pressure through my printing press.

To find out more about the project please visit my blog;

www.seasidestudiosblog.blogspot.com

The image plate measures 6x8cm (approx 1.25x3.25inch) across and is on paper measuring 15x21cm (approx5.75x8.25inch). The print comes unmounted.

The listing is for the print in the first photo, all the prints in the group photos are listed individually. To see the others from the project please see the 100 ammonites project section in my store.

THIS IS A HANDMADE PRINT NOT A DIGITAL REPRODUCTION

Whilst every care is taken in photographing the artwork please be aware that colours can vary according to your monitor settings.

The materials used in the painting are artist’s quality to ensure longevity but as with all original artwork it is best hung out of direct sunlight.

Copyright remains with the artist.

If you are interested in purchasing more than one artwork please contact me and I will make a new listing reserved for you with a combined shipping price.
