I've always loved the wit of Wilde, my best friend and I used to read out "Cecily and Gwendoline"many moons ago ... just love the Victorialn vibe. O for a time machine!

Full description
Fabulous statement piece with vintage plum and amber glass beads. The moody young poet depicted in sepia looks out at you from an ornate bronzey coloured frame with a butterfly and bead drop. The image is protected by resin. Wirewrapped gears and sunflower charms complete the chain. The followers of the Aesthetic movement, Oscar, James Macneil Whistler and all that end of century (the 19th) gang loved the sunflower so much so that they were parodied in Punch holding it. Quite "Greenery Yallery, Grosvenor Gallery" my dear as the quote goes.
The necklace is 53 cm and there's an extender, the central motif is 10 x 6.5 cm including the butterfly drop.
Thanks for looking and for supporting hand-made!
