About Harris Tweed:
The definition of Harris Tweed contained in the Harris Tweed Act of 1993 clearly defines Harris Tweed as follows:
"Handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides."
The Act ensures that all cloth certified with the Harris Tweed Orb symbol complies with this definition and is genuine Harris Tweed, the world’s only commercially produced handwoven tweed.
MacLeod
It is generally held that Leod was the younger son of Olaf the Black one of the last Norse Kings of Man and the North Isles. Olaf died around 1237 and Leod inherited the Islands of Lewis and Harris with part of Skye.

Here's a bright and cheerful tartan clock to brighten your wall! A lovely square wall clock handmade from the world renowned Harris Tweed hand-woven wool fabric in yellow and black Macleod tartan. This is the "Loud" or "Dress" Lewis style of the MacLeod tartans, rather than the more usual green and blue style.
This modern clock has no numbers, but the "12 o'clock" position is marked by the "Orb" label, your guarantee of genuine Harris Tweed. The clock measures approx. 20cm square. The clock mechanism inside the back requires one AA battery (included).
To protect your clock on it's journey it will be padded with corrugated cardboard, and packed in a cardboard box. To get your lovely purchase to you quickly and safely I use Royal Mail tracked services. Postage shown is for the whole parcel - save on postage for two or more items bought from my shop at the same time.
I have other colours and designs of Harris Tweed clocks available, https://folksy.com/shops/rosesworkshop/collections/250390-clocks
