I had the idea of an Elements of the human body T shirt for a while while although I've since discovered the idea isn't new. As I student of typography I wanted to make it like in the style of a packaging and chose the typeface Univers. It had to be subtle but simple and clearly legible.

What are we made of?
What are the elements that make up the human body? We are made of mostly oxygen, hydrogen, carbon and nitrogen (96%), with phosphorus and calcium making up the remaining three percent. The remaining five elements – potassium, sulfur, sodium, chlorine, and magnesium add up to a minute 0.85%, which leaves a little room for left for numerous other elements found in trace amounts (less than 0.01%).

I'm a science geek and a T shirt showing the chemical elements that make up the human body has been on the back burner of my mind for some time. It felt right to follow the last uchi T-shirt "Stereotype" with another typography design – contrasting, but also related. Think of it as the B Side to Stereotype.
This is an original design (accept no substitute!) Typeset in Univers Condensed. This typeface was chosen over the Helvetica font as it more readable for forms. In fact, when it was launched in 1957 it referenced the periodic table in its marketing.
