This little dish is a second. For some reason when in the kiln it decided to grow an air bubble round the encapsulated heart which means that the centre of the dish is raised in the centre - and was not supposed to be.
It is though far too sweet to waste so I'm listing it as a second at a second's price.
I have a fusing kiln, I have glass, I have an addiction to making beautiful glass pieces.

Introducing my Joysofglass Fused Glass collection. All handcut by me, decorated and then fused in my kiln.
My glass fusing kiln is only small so these fused glass pieces are all one-off designs, no mass production possible.
A 6.5cm square dish, twice fired in my kiln, first to fuse all the glass together, 2nd to slump it over a little mould to make a deep little dish.
This little dish is on a base of bright red glass with clear glass on top and is bordered by a delicate dichroic glass with aqua and purple tints. In the centre I've trapped a metallic heart which has formed a little dint in the base.
It also had a mind of its own and developed an air bubble round the heart which means it is accidentally raised in the centre as you can see from the photos. That is why I'm selling it as a second.
The dish has a lovely texture, matt on top and shiny underneath as for a change I 'cooked' it upside down before turning it over to slump it into the mould.
A really super little dish, very tactile. Perfect to hold your rings, earrings or it can just be a pretty ornament on your table.
Made from Bullseye glass, handcut, shaped, layered and decorated with a unique design.
The dish measures 6.5 cm square and is 2.5cm deep..
It will be sent smothered in bubble wrap in my rather innovative (takeaway) packaging which can be used as a gift box and also keeps it very safe for postage.
