I made a series of 12 prints of Salford after making my Indian railway series - India was so bright and colourful and I had made 12 black and white prints, so I thought I'd follow this with a bright, colourful collection of prints of my bus route through Salford into Manchester city centre where I work.

This an original hand-pulled etching with aquatint, printed on white acid free paper.

This is a print of a street in Swinton, Salford showing a row of terraced houses with a shuttered St. Tropez tanning shop.
Each Salford print is 2 colours - I inked the plate with one colour and made a print, then re-inked with another colour (wiping sections away etc.) and print again over the first print. I printed this with a bright pink, followed by a bright violet. I found it really hard to photograph this pink correctly- the 1st image is the most accurate.
