Full description
Briar rose textile floral artwork - a gorgeous wild dog rose cut from golden sunshine yellow silk for its petals and green silk for its leaves. Sewn onto calico with free style embroidery - which is where you use your sewing machine needle as a pencil and draw lines in thread, effectively painting in thread. The stamens are worked in hand embroidery.
This Briar Rose is signed by the artist Heidi Meier and other colours are available.
It makes a lovely gift and is perfect for any home which loves flowers, but in particular it could be perfect for a golden wedding gift, a first anniversary (where the anniversary colour is gold), 4th or 12th (fourth or twelfth) year anniversary (where the traditional anniversary symbol is silk).
Framed in a quality white frame and double mounted to allow plenty of room for the fabric to 'breathe'. Measured frame is just under 7 inches square and the embroidery aperture measures 3.5 inches square.
Each flower is different due to its hand made and freestyle nature, and is available in peach, pale pink, rose pink, lemon, gold and red silk. if you don't see the colour you want, please message me and I will create a listing for you.
