Full description
This sterling silver dragon pendant measures 23mm wide and 19mm high and comes on an 16, 18 or 20 inch sterling silver curb chain. It is sent in either a branded pouch or gift box.
How was it made?
This pendant is made from 1mm and 0.5mm sterling silver sheet which is etched before a hole is drilled for the jump ring, it's then cut out by hand before the snout is soldered to the body and then the edges are then smoothed using files and emery paper. Once this is done I carefully give it it's shape using parallel pliers and a punch and hammer. A patina is added to the etched areas by exposing the silver to Liver of Sulphur, then the piece is then polished and a layer of Renaissance wax is applied to the patina to give it extra protection. I then attach it to a chain.
