This particular bag has been in my head ever since I first saw the tweed - it's an incredible privilege to be able to work with something so beautiful.

Full description
This has got to be one of my all time favourite fabrics - a simply gorgeous rainbow herringbone 'Harris Tweed' handwoven by Shawbost Weavers on the Isle of Harris. I bought a metre of it last year and am making it up into several different items, the first of which is this neat little cross body bag with a lovely purple leather strap.
The flap is lined with a coordinating rich purple 'Harris Tweed' and the bag is lined with a faintly marbled purple cotton print. The base has been lightly reinforced with a piece of plastic mesh between the exterior and the lining. See second photo for best colour representation.
Whilst being fairly small, there is plenty of space for your purse, phone, keys and other bits and bobs. The interior incorporates a zip pocket, pen pocket, elasticated slip pocket and handy key hook. The bag has a magnet fastening and fully adjustable leather strap.
Dimensions (approximate): 23 cm wide, 21 cm high, 5 cm deep (at base).
