Peridot is named after the French word peritot, meaning gold, because the mineral often appear golden in colour. Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August. It is also the stone given to celebrate the 16th year of marriage.
Peridot has a very long history. Ancient records show that the stones were mined as far back as 1500 BC. Legend says that if the gem can act as a talisman with the power to dispel night time terrors and bad dreams.

Full description
This pretty Tree of Life necklace was handcrafted with copper wire and wrapped peridot chips from approx 5mm.
The circle frame is hand shaped from copper wire which was hammered for give extra strength.
Pendant measures 3.5 cm (1.5 inches) in diameter.
There is no chain with the pendant.
