A chance remark by a glass artist on Instagram, about selling at makers markets, was the 'lightbulb moment' for designing this apron, she needed 'big pockets for all the stuff she needed to use at craft fairs'.
Working from my little studio, in hilly-leafy South-East London, I make workwear aprons in small batches, using natural fabrics, with minimal waste. I always choose fabrics that are washable and hardwearing, constructing aprons that will last many years longer than normal clothes, retaining their designed purpose and functionality. I apply the same design principles and sustainable values to the bags I make from fabric remnants.
