THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN MY LITTLE SHOP. I AM HAPPY TO TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE AFTER SOMETHING SPECIAL

We have a passion for British gardens and wanted to make a colourful original bird house that was functional and was pleasing to the eye. We hope that one day it will make a lovely home for a happy bird family.

Full description

Hand thrown and altered individual bird house. Made with textured white clay.

This piece is in the Seconds Sunday SALE as it is end of line, there are no faults

The house was bisque fired, then the little bird was hand-painted, the roof and main body were glazed with a lead-free brush on glaze and then glaze fired to 1100 degrees centigrade.

There are tiny bird footprints on the entrance to the house and a hole at the back to attach to tree or fence post. The house could also sit on a ledge if facing the correct direction.

The base of home is not glazed therefore porous and will help prevent any nest becoming damp. The roof overhangs the bird's entrance to prevent rain from getting in.

Bird houses are best placed out of direct sunlight and preferably in a sheltered spot. It will need to be sheltered inside when there is a risk of frost.
