I saw this being demonstrated on a jewellery technics video - true repousse requires expensive tools that I don't have so this "poor man's" version was perfect for me - I had all the tools - a saw, a hammer and a block of wood. I really like the natural doming that occurs when you hammer the silver against the wood. I have made a couple of these now in different sizes and also used gold filled sheet they all look fabulous and the best thing about the gold filled is there are no problems with allergies which is great news for some of my clients who have allergy issues with the usual gold plate and who don't want the full cost of solid gold this is a great compromise. see " Gold filled repousse textured heart pendant" listed separately

Full description
This lovely heart shaped pendant is crisp, clean and non fussy the perfect piece that is appropriate for both work and evening wear. A lovely addition to any jewellery collection and a lovely Valentines gift for the love of your life.
Hand sawn from 0.7 mm sterling silver sheet it has been hammered upon a piece of soft wood to create a subtle texture, this process causes the metal to dome. The bail, which is articulated to allow free movement, was also hand sawn from sterling silver and lightly textured, shaped over a mandrel before being attached to the heart. Finally I polished the pendant to a high shine and suspended it from an 18 inch (45 cm) snake chain .
The heart measures 37 mm (d) x 40 mm (w) and the bail is 12 mm long and 8 mm at the widest point.
