I wanted to make a fun cartoon style Welsh Lady in national costume.This one is the first of many characters as each one is hand painted they all have a story to tell different from the next.

Handmade Porcelain Welsh Lady Brooch (5.3x4cm).I have made a sketch of the Welsh Lady and with a template cut out the shape in clay.This is then dried slowly and biscuit fired followed by me hand painting the face,Hat ,shawl and lace.I have then glazed and glaze fired the Welsh Lady Brooch and attached a silver plated brooch pin to the back.She will arrive in a little black Miss Marple Makes gift box.Great gift for anybody connected with Wales..or who is having Hiraeth (longing)for their motherland!
