"Hugin and Munin fly each day
over the spacious earth.
I fear for Hugin, that he come not back,
yet more anxious am I for Munin."

LIttle domes of sterling silver imprinted with the Viking ravens and oxidized black to make the birds stand out. They hang from 10 mm sleeper hoops made from Argentium sterling silver. Very comfortable once in and small enough that you can sleep with them on. Swimming and showering won't hurt these guys. 22 mm long from piercing to the bottom of the domes. They dangle just under the ear lobe.
Hugin and Munin are Odin's Ravens. Their names mean "Thought" and "Memory" and they bring him news from all over the world. Ravens occur in many mythologies and often stand for wisdom and cunning.
The art on these earrings are borrowed from the viking style and has been found on old Viking coins.
