Full description

This brooch measures 40mm by 30mm. It is mounted on a 20mm brooch bar soldered to the copper base. The pin secures with a rotating catch.

To make the brooch I first built up several layers of clear enamel. I fired a layer of green enamel over this. The copper base may be seen through the green in tones of gold to brown that shift and shimmer in the light that strikes the brooch. Over the green I fired rods of red-brown and pale blue enamel and disturbed them with a steel point while the brooch was at red hot in the kiln to create the unique, random scrolled pattern.

Your brooch will be sent boxed, by Royal Mail first class large letter, signed for.
