I'm a type geek and a fan of Gil Scott Heron. As I also love screen printing, what better way to celebrate two of my favourite classics of art and culture from the same period.

"The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" is a poem and song by Gil Scott Heron, poet, musician and author. He was known for his spoken word performances in the 70s and 80s and his social and political commentary. His influence on artists can still be heard.

Avant Garde Gothic is a typeface family based on the logo used in the Avant Garde magazine, originally created by the magazines' designer, Herb Lubalin. The magazine had only 16 issues, yet Avant Garde Gothic is still one of the most popular typefaces today.
