I wanted to make a very large blanket in this style as until now I had made much smaller ones. This has certainly kept my knees warm whilst I have been working on it and will keep a baby or toddler very cosy indeed.

Full description
Huge pompon yarn blanket. This measures 102cm x 102 cm (about 40 inches x 40 inches, the width of a single bed square). It's made in Rico Pompon yarn, each of the fleece balls is half blue and half white. They twist as you knit the blanket giving a unique stripey design. I used 4x200g balls to make this blanket, it's the biggest of this style that I have ever made. It took four times the hours to make too! I finished the blanket with a crochet trim.
The blanket can be machine washed, but it cannot be tumble dried. Both of my children have blankets like these and they have survived three years of washing, drying, cuddling, being dragged about etc.
