The equestrian Wellington Statue, most often featured with a traffic cone on its head, on Royal Exchange Square in Glasgow, Scotland, is one of the city's most iconic images. In 2011 the Lonely Planet guide included it in its list of the "top 10 most bizarre monuments on Earth". I thought it would be cool to make a Lego version to bring a bit of humour into the dour world of Lego statuary.

Full description

I've recreated Glasgow's iconic Wellington Statue in Lego... complete with his famous traffic cone hat! An ideal fun gift, he looks awesome on any discerning mantelpiece. The free-build Duke statue stands an imposing 14cm tall and is built from 92 Lego pieces.

Please note, my model isn't glued together, so the Duke is unseated from his horse during transit for his own safety.

Designed by Denis Donoghue in Glasgow
