Full description
This dish measure 82 mm in diameter, 18mm deep.
The copper base beneath the coat of red shws through in tones of pale brown to golden brown as the direction of light striking it shifts.
The black scroll work, using a scatter of glass rod laid in spokes radiating from the centre of the piece, has been drawn though clockwise and ant-clockwise to generate an openwork knot pattern. In part this is drawn through a circle of scattered dark-blue enamel that then mingles with the black and the underlying red coat.
