My mother was partially sighted & she loved these textured pieces because when she couldn't see them clearly she could still feel them. It gave her an extra dimension.

A beautiful and eyecatching metal-free & textured design......... ideal for anyone with a metal allergy. In this case the fuse has produced a variety of textures that also make it a clever gift for someone with limited sight.
This unique piece was made by cutting dichroic glass & placing it to create a freeform medium sized square that is designed specifically for wearing with a cord & therefore to be metal-free.
The pendant is 4.5 x 2.5cms & the black woven cord, which has Chinese knots, is 60cms, so will go over the head.

Dichroic glass is known for its vivid colours and those same lovely colours are often difficult to truly represent in photographs. Fortunately, whatever the picture – the real thing very seldom disappoints!
All my fused glass pieces are kiln fired and fully annealed, but they are glass and so perhaps should not be given to children.
