My inspiration for making this Brooch was to try and capture the delicate features of the flower, while being durable to everyday wear and tear. I love intricate detail and as with all my Designs I wanted to create a " one off " piece of Artwork.
Holly has evergreen or deciduous foliage and is used traditionally at Christmas as ornamental Greens, decorations. Some species leaves are used in medicine, for such things as coughs and digestive disorders, however the pretty Red Berries are very poisonous.
This unique individual piece of Artwork, is a beautiful delicate Brooch, which would appeal to nature lovers and romantics.
It would make a Unique Gift to mark any occasion or celebration and will perhaps become an Antique of the Future.........

Individually Designed, Handmade and Hand Painted Clay Flower Jewellery by myself -Artist- KERRY WILLIAMS. ( I sign each Item).
Each piece of Jewellery I make is Individually Designed, Handmade and Hand Painted. No moulds are used. EACH ITEM IS TOTALLY UNIQUE. The material used is a very refined modelling Clay. A Porcelain substitute. It fires a lot stronger than Porcelain, so intricate and fine detail can be used without it becoming too fragile! It also fires very light, so size is not restricted to a small sculpture & large Designs can be produced.
