The original is a massive watercolour I made for my lovely dad. He is an artist himself and a keen amateur astronomer. He is a sensitive soul so I thought the quote was perfect for him. I am currently getting back into watercolour after a long break. I love how it can be very abstract but also recognisable as 'space'. I have done a bit of research and it seems that it is forever shifting and changing up there, so when I get my paints out anything goes…x

Full description
The print for this card was taken from an original watercolour. It features a quote from Van Gogh and hundreds of tiny little stars. Before painting I used masking fluid to paint in all the stars and the words. Once dried I just went to town with the paints over a few sittings. Its a very layered piece which I think gives it a bit of depth. You don't know what you are going to get until you rub the fluid off at the end. Quite thrilling really! Printed on 280 gsm textured card, it is approximately A6.
