I saw a young woman with a bag in a shop make from denim and it looked really pretty, so i decided to have a go and make one from scratch.

This light blue denim handbag has been hand cut from clean recycled jeans, so if you are at all eco conscious this is the bag for you.
It has a large pocket on the front that has been utilised from the back pocket of the jeans. The long shoulder strap has also been made using material from the leg of the jeans.
It has a flap over top with a brown leather detail and is securely held shut with strong Velcro.
Even the leather detail is the jeans maker label turned over, no part goes to waste!
To finish the bag off and to make it more feminine, a small metal button has been embellished with ribbons and lace in pale pink and blue and attached to the front pocket.
This would also be a nice gift idea if you have a friend who is an eco-warrior.
