This glass cabochon was fused by me. The glass was heated up to around 800 degrees celsius in a small glass fusing kiln and then it was then brought to annealing temperature to make it strong. The glass was then shaped with a glass grinder before fire polishing to give a glossy finish on the sides. This whole process takes over 18 hours to complete.
This cabochon is a subtle dichroic shimmer in golden brown with a black base, creating a dark shimmer. On the surface is a 22 carat gold sunflower. Please note that this is not a sticker but a real gold glass decal. This is set within a cabochon setting on a silver plated open bangle with filigree butterflies which has a circumference of approximately 7 inches. Perfect for special occasion wear.
Not suitable for small children - these are made from real glass and need to be treated with respect - they may have sharp edges if broken. The glass is, however, made from thick annealed glass so is fairly robust.
