My inspiration for making this Brooch was to try and capture the delicate features of the flower, while being durable to everyday wear and tear. I love intricate detail and as with all my Designs I wanted to create a one off piece of Artwork.
Foxgloves bloom midsummer and are one of the most distinctive garden plants. They have tall stems of tubular flowers and can be found in many borders of Country gardens, woodlands and shady areas.
Their scientific name is Digitalis Purpurea, but they have many common names. Some examples are:-
Common Foxglove, Throat Root, Thimble Flower, Fairy's Cap, Fairy's Thimbles, Fairy's Petticoat, Finger Flower, Pop Dock, Ladies Gloves, Bloody Bells, Witches Bells & Dragon Mouth.
This unique piece of Artwork, is a beautiful delicate, feminine Brooch, that would make the owner stand out in a crowd. It would make a Unique Gift for any Woman, to mark any occasion or celebration and will perhaps become an Antique of the Future........

Individually Designed, Handmade and Hand Painted Clay Flower Jewellery by myself ----Artist KERRY WILLIAMS.
I sign each Item of Jewellery.
You are looking at a variation of one, of my more unusual Designs, which is known by many different names, but the most commonly used----THE FOXGLOVE BROOCH...Lapel Flower Pin.
Each piece of Jewellery is Individually Designed, Handmade and Hand Painted. No moulds are used. EACH ITEM IS TOTALLY UNIQUE. The material used is a very refined modelling Clay---- A Porcelain substitute. It fires a lot stronger than Porcelain, so intricate & fine detail can be used without it becoming too fragile! It also fires very light.. so size is not restricted to a small sculpture and large Designs can be produced !

FLOWER- Approximate size 3.5 cm (1 1/4 inches) across and 5.6 cm (2 1/4 inches) down.
NOTE- THIS BROOCH IS MADE TO ORDER, SO IT WILL BE SIMULAR, BUT A UNIQUE PIECE OF ARTWORK!
Washable.
Supplied in a presentation box.
This will look lovely on a lapel of a jacket, scarf, dress and even on a hat.
