How it is made:-
Having carefully selected the wood for suitability this lamp is hand turned from carefully prepared blanks. The base blanks are formed from 2 or 3 pieces of the same timber as the column so they all complement each other in both grains and colours.
After hand turning and sanding the pieces are drilled and assembled. The final finish is French polished shellac and wax.
Traditional glues are used to join the base to the column so should the cable become damaged and need to be replaced the two pieces can be easily separated.
Various other order specific options are available such as different fittings, in line switches and cable lengths. Please message me for availability and prices.

Full description
This lamp is made of English Oak wood with a white plastic lamp holder.
It is supplied with a white 20cm shade.
Its approximate height to the top of the shade is 16 inches 405 mm.
The base diameter is 4 1/2 inches 115 mm.
Its finish is shellac and wax polish.
The coloured bands are Ultra Blue
The underside has a felt baize applied to it.
A white plastic bayonet (bc) switched lamp holder is fitted
Approximately 2 metres (6ft 6 inches) of white 2 core cable is supplied.
Lamps are supplied with a standard 3 pin plug fitted with a 3 amp fuse suitable for the 240v UK market.
A 60w 240v bulb is supplied.
Note:- If buying outside of the UK it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure suitability to your local power supply.
