The basic penguin comes from an old knitting pattern from Woman's weekly that I inherited from my Mum, I knitted lots of these these back in the 70s and have knitted penguins for Christmas, but decided to let them out in Spring for a change with non-Christmassy embellishments. This little fellow is knitted on really fine needles to produce a smaller bird.

A very small bird indeed, with no plumage so needs somewhere warm to sit.
Baby stands just 10 cm tall and has no sharp bits. He can be washed gently.
