The basic penguin comes from an old knitting pattern from Woman's weekly that I inherited from my Mum, I knitted lots of these these back in the 70s and have knitted penguins for Christmas, but decided to let them out in Spring for a change with non-Christmassy embellishments..

Little penguins are also called Blue Penguins, hence the blue plumage, he looks a bit cold so has a nice woolly scarf to keep him warm.
Blue stands 11 cm tall. He is knitted in acrylic yarn and stuffed with hypoallergenic stuffing so can be washed on a gentle cycle.
