Full description
This pretty pendant has been made from a piece of beach pottery which we have tumbled so the edges are smooth. It is a piece of a plate of the Indian Tree design, which was very popular in Britain. The pendant has part of a flower, some leaves and finely detailed border on it. The pattern was put on the plate as a black transfer which was then coloured by hand.
The pendant is 3 cm high, 3.2 cm wide and 2 mm thick. It comes on a 50 cm (approx. 20 inches) fine silver plate trace chain. If you would prefer a shorter or longer chain (up to 90 cm) please let us know the length you would like.
Our jewellery is made in Chudleigh, Devon, using materials we collect ourselves from local beaches. Each piece of pottery is unique, so each piece of jewellery is unique. Because our raw materials have spent time on the seashore our products may have small imperfections, which we think is part of the charm of beach pottery jewellery. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The pendant will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
