LAST DAY FOR CHRISTMAS ORDERS WILL BE WEDNESDAY 18 DECEMBER 2024. ORDERS AFTER THAT DATE WILL STILL BE SENT OUT BUT MIGHT NOT ARRIVE IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS
Recently I had a fabulous trip to Iceland. And with it's faults, volcanoes and plate boundaries (getting a bit technical here!) it rekindled my love of geography. That inspired me to think about maps and then about the people who inhabit those places on the maps and what they might be doing there. I took to hunting out vintage maps and experimenting with them and so I was inspired to make my new People & Places range!

Full description
Upcycled bottle top resin brooch incorporating a vintage map (Barrowcliff, Scarborough) and model people.
The brooch is approx 3 cm in diameter and is presented on ivory hammered card. It comes with a vintage map pouch, approx 9 cm by 15 cm (closed), with a printed fabric label stitched down the side showing range name and maker details and a bulldog clip. The bulldog clip keeps the brooch and pouch together but when giving as a gift can be used to keep the pouch closed when the brooch is inside. The clip could also be used to hang the item up on a hook or nail.
The vintage map pouch shows Falsgrave, Scarborough on one side and Black Rigg Plantation on the other.
