This is the first painting I made when I'd started looking at hand-painted Indian textiles (Chintz) with beautiful detailed landscapes and animals which were taken from English 17th Century crewel embroidery. This painting was the start of a continuing journey, exploring the wonders of textile and embroidery from India and the UK in particular.
