I made a series of 12 prints of Salford after making my Indian railway series - India was so bright and colourful and I had made 12 black and white prints, so I thought I'd follow this with a bright, colourful collection of prints of my bus route through 'the gritty north' - Salford into Manchester city centre where I work.

This an original hand-pulled etching with aquatint, printed on BFK acid free paper.

Paper size approx. 12"x12"
This is a print some houses along the A6 Manchester Road in Swinton, Salford.
Each Salford print is 2 colours - I inked the plate with pale pink ink and made a print, then re-inked with a darker pink and wiped away some sections, then printed again over the first print - It was very fiddly and time consuming with much room for error as I found!!
