Full description
Yarn: Handspun organic nettle yarn which has been spun with sheep wool to form an edgy chunky and unique handmade yarn.
Weight: 1 x 100 grams.
Color: natural brown
Yardage: 270 yards approx per 100 grams
Handspun organic nettle yarn from Nepal grows naturally in the wild, it is free from chemicals and machines. It is also a natural moth repellant which is reather interesting, and can be used to make exfoliation scrubs and bags, jewellery, hammocks, rugs and many more fiber projects. You can knit with it, crochet with it and produce all sorts of amazing rustic fiber art work. Combined with wool it has a chunky, kind of aran texture. Soft, yet textured. Original and magical fairly traded art yarn.
Multiple skeins are available. Please check out other listings for recycled silk sari yarn, recycled silk sari ribbon, organic hamp and nettle yarns amongst many more. All my art yarns are fair trade and have been handspun by women's co-operatives and small businesses in India.
