This Sterling silver and garnet handmade hares locket is the flagship piece for my hares and rabbits jewellery range and truly is a labour of love. Every part is handmade and etched with a stunning star/snowflake and floral design on front, rear and interior. Sheet silver is hand cut using a jewellers piercing saw and formed in my home studio based in a small, enchanting wood in the depths of West Yorkshire. The hinge and clasp is hand cut and soldered using an oxygen and propane torch. When all the forming and soldering is done, the piece is oxidised and polished to reveal the stunning detail created by the etch. The clasp and hinge pin swirl gracefully at either side and hold in place a three chain safety chain. This unusual, triangular locket is a true statement piece and stunning heirloom to pass down your family line (if you decide they deserve it!). Be prepared to catch many an admirer's breath every time you wear it.
