Black Spinel is often mistaken for diamonds. It is a semi precious gemstone and has a hardness of 8 on the Moh scale. Spinel also comes in red.
For many years it was thought that the red gemstone sitting at the centre of the royal crown was a ruby, when in fact it is a red Spinel.

Full description
This lovely pair of genuine gemstone dangling earrings are made by wire wrapping 8 mm faceted black semi precious spinel gemstone rondelles and attaching to the silver plated connectors.
Silver plated oval link chain is attached with silver plated jump rings to the bottom loop of the wrapped gemstones.
Hypo allergenic ear wires are attached to complete these earrings.
Earrings hang approx 4 inches (10 cm) including the ear wires.
These lovely earrings will come gift boxed.
