I have made a few of these, Biscornu Pin Cushion through the years. I recently rediscovered my joy in making them after I was asked to write a tutorial on how to make one for a craft forum. I choose the colour scheme for this one as I adore purples and pinks, I also enjoy cross stitching.

Full description
This pretty little pin cushion has been carefully and lovingly hand sewn. The design shape is referred to as a Biscornu Pin Cushion, which refers to the many different corners and none square shape. Both sides have the same cross stitch design but in different colours, purple and dark green on one side and pink and light green on the other. The Biscornu pin cushion is stitched with 100% cotton embroidery threads onto Cotton Cross Stitching Aida. Each corner has been highlighted with a pink or purple bead. The Biscornu Pin Cushion has been stuffed with polyester hollow fibres. Pin Cushions are a useful way of keeping all those little sewing pins together in one place ready for use. Paced on a coffee table I’m sure this little creation will not only be a practical item to store all your pins in but will also became an interesting conversational piece.
The approximate size is 3inches (7.5cm) by 3inches (7.5cm)
