Full description
This unusual sun catcher is made from subtle shades of olive beach glass which we found in Devon. The pieces of glass vary in shade, and have been tumbled so all the edges are beautifully rounded and smooth. They are all curved as they have come from broken bottles. The sun catcher looks especially lovely hanging in a window, or anywhere else where light shines through it. We have hung the pieces of glass from gold plate wire which is decorated with glass beads. The beads set off the colour of the glass and give the sun catcher a little sparkle.
The sun catcher is 15 cm high, 5 cm wide and 8 mm thick. To hang the sun catcher we have included a length of fine nylon cord.
Our sun catchers are made in Chudleigh, Devon, using materials we collect ourselves from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each sun catcher is unique. Because our raw materials have spent time on the seashore our products may have small imperfections, which we think is part of the charm of beach glass gifts. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The sun catcher will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one day of receiving payment.
