Full description
Unique and unusual necklace made with sari silk with bead charms. This asymmetric necklace has sari silk one side, partly interwrapped into an antique brass chain with linked purple lustre beads on the other, finished with a link of a large champagne grey rondelle crystal and a fluted brass bead.
Completing the necklace is a antique brass hammered ring with a bead charm cluster, which features a large peony ceramic bead, a jonquil luster flower, opaque purple bead & flower and a champagne rondelle crystal.
The recycled sari silk ribbon is made by women in India and Nepal and is sold through a Women's co-operative. The sari silk is in shades of coral, tangerine & cornflower.
Please note that the sari silk will fray over time and if desired, could be carefully trimmed with scissors.
This long necklace is 53.5 cm / 21 inches in length (excluding the length of the charms), and is completed with antique brass chain with matching lobster clasp.
The necklace will be presented in an organza gift bag.
